Justin Caylen Castillo, widely known as JC Caylen, is a prominent American YouTuber, actor, and entrepreneur who has significantly influenced digital entertainment. Born on September 11, 1992, in Houston, Texas, JC moved to San Antonio at a young age, where he was raised alongside his siblings: brother Joe Felix and sisters Jaylyn and Ava Grace. His parents divorced when he was five years old, and he was primarily raised by his mother, Lyndi Godard.

JC attended Sandra Day O'Connor High School in Helotes, Texas. After high school, he briefly enrolled at the University of Texas at San Antonio but chose to drop out to pursue his passion for YouTube and entertainment.
